Stradic ci4+ or Rarenium ci4+ ?

 Hi Guys,

Looking at replacing my current Stradic fj with something new, that being a Stradic ci4+ or a Rarenium ci4+. Will be used for soft plastics and jigging in the boat, and used mainly on an ATC Vanguard pe1-3 jigging rod and a Gomoku pe0.8-1.5 for plastics.

Just not sure which reel to go with so after opinions? Any help would be much appreciated!

Cheers Sam.

Not much

Not much beetween the two reels besides a few grams. The only reason i would go for the Rarenium first, is they come with a spare spool .

 I have both reels

Got the stradic c14 in a 1000

Got the rarenium in a 3000

Both fantastic reels but maybe agree with grantartic1 in regards to the rarenium having an extra spool

Rarenium by far!

The new Rareniums piss all over the stradics.  Really smooth and just feel like a much better reel however the latest ones don't come with a spare spool.

The Sustains are Ci4

My experience with the FG Sustain that I had were that is was a nice reel but had plenty of play.  Rareniums are a better build as are the biomasters if ya do want to get away from the Ci4 stuff.  Or just get a Stella and you won't need another reel.  ;)

Even better advice, don't let ya mates use your gear esp when they can't handle it ;)

Rerenium better than stradic

Rerenium better than stradic for jigging & plastics, has lower gear ratios.

I love the Ci4+ and have two of them and 6 Ci4 older models, haven't broken them yet, and they are smooth. Do come with a bit of handle play out of the box, but its minor. Rarenium + is great too, no spare spool, where they differ is retrieve speed. The Ci4+ is 6-1, and the Rarenium slower at 5-1, both light and great to use.
