Sunday Forecast
Submitted by Adam Gallash on Sat, 2007-01-27 15:47
Sunday: NE'ly winds 15/20 knots shifting N/NW 10/15 knots late morning. Winds becoming W/SW 13/18 knots mid afternoon and easing to S/SW 8/13 knots near midnight. Seas 1.0m to 1.5m. Swell 1.0m to 1.5m.
Swell at Cottesloe: 0.3m to 0.5m.
Winds on Melville Water: will be similar.
Who's going out for a fish tomorrow? Conditions sort of look alright, but those North Easterlies do terrible things to the seas. Hopefully it won't be anywhere near as strong as forecasted, but going on what its been like for the last two days, would expect it to be pretty strong.
Good luck if you head out, stay safe and don't take any risks if you think the conditions aren't favourable.
Cheers,
Adam

I would like to go out Sunday
Late start say 9-00am launch with a late return, should make conditions bearable.
I need a deckie though.... anyone interested please PM me. Usual drill of sharing bait & fuel costs. Might do some exploring so I can find a magic giant flattie spot for next year's fishwrecked invitational.
Shag / Sherb / Spess are you leaving from Mindarie? What time are you headed out there?
Cheers

Shamu, don't listen to them, you will find out pretty quick that I am just occaissionaly lucky thats all....
As for the GPS you will be keel hauled for anything like that.
Remember the other rule (besides no GPS) the first fish you catch goes back, no matter what it is!!!

Learn the hard way
Shags just trying to jinx you Andy, he needs a handicap advantage. :) As for the first fish going back, I learnt the hard way, just strike at the pickers so you can get something small and send it back to appease the fish gods. ;)

Don't worry Shamu...
If your first fish is a 17kg plus Spaniard, just remember they taste crap anyway.....and look better swimming off to fight another day.
If its a 17kg plus Dhuie though, errr, I think I might have to bring a box of tissues.
Cheers

Going out late I think
Bloody nice low in the morn around sun up....hard to make a decision…go early, have to be back 3-4.00pm. Go late say 3.00 and catch the high and get to stay out late if you feel like it….
Bugger
And I need a deckie too....PM me
