Sunday trip

Was just me and my Dad out on Sunday, as deckies dropped out.

Was not that confortable out from rockingham,, got rained on in the morning, and pretty lumpy.

Took a while for the fish to come about but once they did was a pretty reasonable day out. Got busted up a few times by big fish, which i would think were dhu's and big pinkys.

Did manage a few pinkys and some more nice plump KG's
My biggest pinky to Date, guessed at 7-8 KG's

yeah adam....to be honest it was crap!!!
first time Ive felt green in a long time.
could only do 22knots on the way out without too much slapping or air. by about 2pm or so it calmed off a little. Thing is there was absolutely no wind, was just crap coming from the front.

Hey Bodie quick question what time did you head out.We left point peron in the dark heading out to the super super deep deeps and had a resonable ride out.Wasnt as good as what seabreeze said but it wasn't bad, sat on similar speeds as you ... Cheers fishfish

yeah we left the ramp about 6.20ish i spose. and headed southwest.

was short upright lumps that made it a bumpy ride.

How did you go out deep??

good catch there

I think we would have done better to have had a few lines out for KGs maybe. At times I thought we were getting hit by kgs but not hooking up due to the bigger hooks.

Might have to dust off the by-catch rig again and try a bit harder to get some kgs next trip.

Sunday deep deep

Wed, 2009-09-02 19:34

Hey Bodie, no good out deep deep we tried for new ground in the high 300's with only yellow jackets and green eyed sharks to show for it. I must be feeding the local population lately !!!!!.We spent quite a few hours driving around with no new ground discovered { alot of flat area out there!!!} so we came in to our local stomping ground 60-100's around lunch time to have missed the early bite but managed to get our bag limit for family/friends etc....
Cheers

Your dad looks pretty happy with the kgs - and rightfully so.
