Surf Rod Advice Needed
Hi
I'm chasing some advice on a surf rod. What i'm looking for is 7 to 10ft rod with a light/slow action. In other words very flexible and sensitive. This is pretty much to target whiting. As when i go on my fishing trips i can use this rod to fill in the time until the tailor and hopefully the bigger fish come along. I like to throw a whiting line out and catch some so i can use as live bait.
Was wondering if anyone had any recommendations? Any advice would be greatful.
Looking just to match with a smallish spinning reel with very light line. (i have a spare penn captiva which is just lying around which i picked up cheap so i would probably just match it up with that for now)
Im not to worried on price i only like to buy quality products.
Thanks
Feral

Yeh I was gonna say HR 8'2"
Yeh I was gonna say HR 8'2" Seabass Force is good, as well as the 8'6" version. Otherwise for something cheaper, there's the Shakespear Agility 10'6" 1-4kg. Nice and light, slow action as well. Great for the light stuff on the beach.

If you want some good value rods you
could look at the Starlo Stix SSX Squidgy Spin 72 Light or the Berkley Dropshots

ssx shore spin
I use a starlo ssx shorespin 9' and FI stradic 5000...
Great feel for the lighter fish whiting, herring and has plenty grunt for tailor aswell... has no trouble bringing in 6kg salmon.
Saves me bringing two rods... or allows you to leave a big rod out with a livey ;)
