Suspension Seat in offshore 7m+ boats
So i'm interested in feedback from users of suspension seats.
I'm told that they're great. I appreciate that they will take some 200mm of 'seat' storage away.
And am also told that they are problematic in that when the boat slows (like when you hit a larger swell/wave) that seats tend to slide forward and so you need hold onto the dash rail, and "it kills your arms" over the course of a day.
I've heard off Shock Wave and seen Vent Right on here in another post.
I'm interested to hear from anyone who has been using them in serious fishing/water conditions over a number of years.
What did you invest in, approx cost (if inclined to share) and was it worth the money.
My experience with my seats - is that (due to their ability to adjust/rotate) they are very wobbly and get worse all the time.
Thanks in advance. :)

I have the seat right/vent
I have the seat right/vent right ones in my 5m cuddy cab and I drive my boat like I stole it and I never have to stand up anymore.
probably the best investment I have made in the boat, half the price of the commercial brands, I've been running them for nearly 2 years and they are going strong. $1650 for the pair worth every cent and then some
only thing to remember is you may be comfortable but the boat may not be.
originally mounted to a pedestal but kept ripping out of the deck, ended up glassing in a small base for the suspension bases to mount to and got rid of the swivel
Whoever said about holding on all day and having sore arms is a muppet, no such thing in my experience.
I no longer get a sore back after a days fishing and neither do the deckies.
there's a video on my YouTube with the old seats and pedestal of the suspension working, honestly well worth it.

Since this forum has turned
Since this forum has turned in to a seashepherd convention and people lose their mind over a couple of dhu fishing being released the video link is dead.
hilko feel free to PM and I can send you more details or pics of the suspension seats. I am south of the river and you're welcome to come and inspect the quality.
