Swan river blue's
G'day I went for a dive last night down the swan to see if the silt had lifted a bit as I haven't been since December due to the poor vis from the dredging. Thought i would at least get a feed of prawns and maybe a couple of blue swimmers ( i usually get between 30 and 100 prawns, 10 to 30 cms long and the odd crab ). Dissapointingly the silt was everyware it was as bad a i could remember vis in les than 12m was 1.5m being generous and deeper than 12m you struggled to see your outstreched hand. However i did end up with a few Blues for my troubles ( i couldnt stand it any more after 40 min ). Sadly i only got 4 yes thats right 4 prawns i have never gotten this few i hope this is'nt a sign of how the future of the river will be. I think I would have seen more than 25 flatties poor buggers must have been starving! On a possitive side the sea horses seem to be doing well in the silty conditions as they were everyware.

Bummer Graham
Im going to dive the coombe twice today for a mapping/navigation assignment and was thinking about comming back for a night dive later. We had heard through some people at tafe that the vis was getting better:/
What area if you dont mind me asking?
Still good fun to tangle with the big blues underwater though.

Blues
Looks like you got a couple of solid blues though. It will clear up eventually and the kingies will be there in numbers.
The best reason for doing what's right today is tomorrow.
