Swan River Choppers

Just been reading the west and i hear that some up to 40cm have been caught up as far as windan bridge... anyway my other half agreed to look after my neice and nephew today without my knowledge. Thinking of taking them to PT Walter to target some choppers (instead of them destroying the house). Just wondering if anyone has had any luck there?

Was there a few days ago with prawns and mulies and we got nothing, few crabs about and plenty of blowies, there was a wing chopped stinray carcass in the water just off the jetty bringing them in, seen a few fish jumping 80 odd meters out from the sandbar, didnt seem to want the mulies, odd sidenote, caught a starfish, ate a bit of prawn and my hook, never seen that

I threw some Twistys &
I threw some Twistys & hardbodys around Point Walter last Sunday arvo/eve/night while I was chasing Mullas but only turned up two choppers 20 & 25cm. The Wednesday before that I had success on a gold Twisty down at Jojo's in the evening with 6 choppers up to 30cm.

Caught some at applecross
Caught some at applecross jetty, no need for bait because slices work the trick, could actually see them smashing it on the surface.

Along the Pt Walter Bank
Pulled in a dozen on slices behind the tinny off the north side along the Point Walter bank on Friday in about 45 minutes. Was right on sunset, just look for the dive bombing birds....
Sizes varied, most went back, but there was 4 in there over 30, the largest about 36cm.
Was quite a long strip of them, could go most the length of the bank before needing to turn around, getting hit the whole way.
The Mulla fishing in Mosman later, was deathly quiet, didn't even get taunted this week by the croaking that has been there the last few.
Still chasing those damn Mulla's....![](http://fishwrecked.com/sites/all/libraries/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/msn/devil_smile.gif)
All that I know...Is that my gut says.....Maybe...
