swan river mussels

hey guys,im just wondering if the mussels that ive got from the lower reaches of the swan are edible...as they are up to size and we just got some fresh ones = ]

erm..ive been taking them from 3-5ms depth at a jetty in blackwall reach..

the more u fish..the less stress u get....

I use to boil them till they opened, drain off the water then put the meat into containers (first remove beards) and cover them in vinegar put lid on put them in the fridge and leave them for about 1 week yummy bloody bewdifull.

the bouy ropes, they are covered in them too. There are some massive ones sometimes on the bottom half of the rope. Occasionally the Swan River Trust (not sure) comes and cleans them because they get very heavy and start to sink the float so you'll be doing them a favour!

 I've had them a few times before and they are really big and juicy and I'm still here.

haha...i will try getting some of the buoy when i get a boat = ]...im landbased at the moment .so sticking to pylons and jetties = ]
