theres plenty of koi and carp
theres plenty of koi and carp in the swan canning. you just have to head further upstream.
ive seen heaps of koi and those koi carp up near my house (upper canning near kent st weir & further upstream). also caught a few european carp, mostly small though.
have heard stories of old english blokes catching them to 13kg though.

Would have liked to see the bream live to fight another day especially the larger ones. Kept live and weighed I reckon, at least for the boaties, a temporary live tank isnt hard to set up, I mean would you eat a 20+ yo blackie, bit of a waste. Good to see the youngens gettin into it tho.

I went down to fish at Chidley point on the sat arvo, was packed,so I went to the traffic bridge for the 1st time.Fished off the bank at 1st until dark as there wasnt much room on bridge, got a few small bream and heaps of grunter. After dark people started to leave so I went and walked the plank got a few more small bream, dropped a approx 300mm tailor and got a flatty about 300mm aswell. I was planning on fishing there all night but by 10pm there were people everywhere fishing and crabbing on top of me so I got the shits and went home. Seen one bloke get a good sized bream and a tailor, will be goin back there but probably on a weeknite.
