Swan/Mandurah prawns?

It's about that time of year when the prawns should be running, so I may give it a go this weekend.
Has anyone tried dabbing from the boat lately? any luck?

Nowadays in Mandurah
probably the cut is better. Anchor on an outgoing tide at night.
Having said that havent seen to many boats out there driving home everynight/evening.
Need a little more rain to flush them out.

No yet
They're still about 2 months away I reckon. Needs heaps more rain before the first run.

Rain isnt needed they're
Rain isnt needed they're running out to sea to spawn on good outgoing tides , best times in Cut are 3- 12 days after full moon, I have always managed to get a feed in for Christmas be it from fremantle or Mandurah and the best ever nights I have had in Dawesville have been in january , one night year after the cut opened justafter new years , filthy stinking hot weather ,tide changed approx 10.45 had bag limit by 11pm off jolly frog jetty , rain does get them going but its not the only trigger good tide on a dark night is the go .
