I don't and have never dived so I can't comment on how a Wobby acts in it's natural enviroment. I recon you have big balls chasing a wobby around as I have heard from experienced divers that they can turn on you in a split second.
The Wobbies at this particular spot are pretty tame and are used to divers.
I respect them and they approached me when I was actually hand feeding some Spangled Emperors.
They were just looking for some leftovers and they got some. There was no aggression displayed by them or myself it's all cool. Although I should't be feeding them or any other Fish for that matter.
Yeah, dopesn't take much to stir them up, bumped one in shallowish water at woodman's point one day years ago whilst spear fishing. Thing turned on me quicks as flash and came straight for me. I had to paddle backwards furiously whilst pocking him off with my spear. He eventually gave up and swam away. It was pretty heart thimping at the time.
