Switch panel wires from engine??

Hey guys,

cut a bloody wire in my cabin. Traced it back and lols like it connects to the engine and I think it’s the switch panel connection but I can’t work out what it went to. When I re wires the cabin it labeled it as 12v main and I thought it was just tapped off the battery, fmlllll but lucky enough worked out where it’s going and what it’s  called but just trying to work out if it’s necessady to have.

Attached a a pic of it also and it’s the wire with the screw driver touching it.

any help would be great.

Maybe for a other batt in cabin to be charging, still a lot of questions ,is it fused where does it connect to the motor, where did it connect to the cabin, heavy gauge or light wire ?
Is that the screwdriver near the clear sip tie ?

Main power from motor

Having a main power supply from the outboard to the buss bar would not be good and not fused even worse.
A lot of videos on wiring a boat on YouTube.
Any wiring out of the motor I would leave as standard (factory wiring) only .
After having batt problem in my first boat ,because the dickheads put in a old shitty car batt in the boat when they sold it and I got stuck at Little Island with a flat batt first trip out,ASS HOLES.(young and did'nt know better)
I have always believed that two batt was the way to go,start and house batt with a batt selector switch, off, batt 1,batt2 and both.
also VSR should be fitted.
