Tailor?

Has anyone else noticed that the old tailor population has slowed down? I know its really not the right time but last year at this time my usall spots still where fireing for good fish. Even the winter thumpers from yanchep arent around at the moment. Someone was telling me that there catching them comercially of shore and theres been lots of people walking into tackle stores saying the same thing.

Possibly.... Tho ive heard reports that mindarie and ocean reef marina's are still producing green backs. I think it is definitely slower but reports still say they are around... Its been awfully too calm for them lately

I've noticed the same thing in the cockburn sound.
I also note seeing a professional boat with its LFB numbers blacked out a couple of weeks age at the front of stirling channel just before dark.
I wouldnt mind betting that that is what they are up to .
I also saw then drop 20 or so crab pots which I thought was strange as I thought it was banned at the moment.CompassRose

"There is still pots being placed in the sound for reasearch purposes as i was informed earlier in the year by a fisheries officer."

Is that anything like whaling. Thats for reasearch too you know.

Interesting,I wonder why they have to blank out the boat numbers.
I wonder if they are doing research on what they taste like & if anyone can participate.
I would even do the "RESEARCH" for free!!!!!!! LOL.....
