Hi mate i tried point peron on metal slices , squidgeys and bait with no luck but i think that might have been down to our poor choice of spot .. looking for a spot between freo and rocky for tomoz morning as im reading conditions are good if you know of any

I have tried point peron many times and caught f/a until I started hitting it at dawn, in the white wash with upsised profiles for more attention. Stick betweenthe mushroom rock and that most westerly point

Penguin Island if you can safely cross with ferry, tinnie or kayak might be worth a look. Plenty of info under search.

As previously mentioned Dawn and Dusk are best. I get best results on a Clarke spoon. Worth googling. The Au equivent is the Halco brand- trawl them at about 5-7km in 4-8m's.
