Tasty bucket

When in the goldfields and want a bucket of tasty food. You got 2 choices . Kfc or the local lake. No guessing where this came from

I used to just boil them in

Sun, 2018-11-18 14:16

I used to just boil them in lightly salted water with a garlic clove or 2 and then just have yabby sandwiches when I felt like keeping it simple.  Here's a good recipe I found and modified for camp ovens if you're ever feeling like fiddling around. Is well worth the effort: www.aussiecampovenforum.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1460532227

That looked pretty good tadpole. We come across yabbies a lot in our travels, I’ve saved that one for another day.
