Probably took an hour or so to get off and not long to get it back on.

You could also hit up one of the lifting yards if they have a boat rack and they can usually do you a deal for a few days or a week.

I recently did mine as an overnighter at Mindarie Marina. Very helpfull folks there let me put the boat in one of their overnight pens.

Just go down to the local tyre shop and get some old tyres stack them two high and  put the boat on them.  We did this a couple of weeks ago and it worked a treat.

Here's how I did it

Hooked on to the stern of the boat and pulled it back about 1.5 metres, jacked up the back of the trailer then made two stackes of old tyres, one each side of the keel, take out the jack and move the trailer forward leaving the boat behind. Just before the keel drops off the trailer make another two stacks of tyre to support the bow. To reload the boat  I hooked the winch rope on and pulled the trailer and car back under the boat using the winch, getting it on was easy.

Thanks for the help and guidance guys - I will get onto it

Was quoted a ridiculous ammout to repair trailer, so manufactured the replacement cross beams and he only obstacle was removal of the boat so that I could sort out the trailer.

Only expensive part has been galvanising the beams.

Will let you all know how it goes and pop u a few pics

Cheers
