Lowrance Fuel Flow

I have been waiting for a new Lowrance EP-60R for a few months now. The Lowrance (Navico) agent has just confirmed that they only get a few per month from the manufacturer, and haven't even fulfilled last years backorder. That tells me that I'm still about a year off, and when I do get it, its a product that Lowrance clearly isn't interested in selling or supporting.

So, the question is, has anyone found a good fuel flow meter that works on N2K networks, and interfaces with nicely with a HDS?

Engine harness

What engine are you using? If it is an NMEA2000 engine you can normally get an engine interface cable, plug one end into the engine harness, one end into your NMEA back bone and then read the data via the HDS.

I will post a link to the Hull Truth which shows how to do it. Cost a couple of hundred bucks for the parts (for a Suzuki) but it also allows you to display all sorts of cool data on your HDS.

I had no problem getting one from ch smith about 9 months ago

i find the gauge to be reasonably accurate but it's a bit of a pain to use on the hds, it's ok bit it's a cumbersome menu situation

I usually forget to reset are fuelling up etc, my Suzuki is just prior to nmea2k technology also

LMF-200?

The Lowrance LMF-200 is NMEA2000 compliant, just plugs int to the bus.--I'ved never used mine in that mode, as none of my other gear is,  but it had a small 50mm dispay which gives you everything you could want by way of flow/economy/total/whatever if you don't want to stuff anround getting it working via your other displays.
