Thieving Farks!
Just a heads up to fellow NOR boaties. Launched at Ocean Reef today for a dive and between 9 and 3 and some low life fuckwits stole the Great White LED light bar of the front of my cruiser. Would have taken 2 blokes to unbolt it I reckon because of the bull bar and I'm guessing another couple on lookout because it was quite busy down there.
Had a few cars broken into down there now between my group of mates and even though Ocean Reef is 5 minutes from my house, I can't remember the last time I launched there, this will definitely be the last.
Anyway, only had the cruiser for 6 weeks and just put lightbar on so if anyone saw anything suss down there let me know otherwise beware of the fucking scum trolling the carparks at ocean reef boat ramp!!

Sorry to hear that STEVO. I was actually planning on heading out from Ocean Reef this arvo but had a few bevies last might and a sleep in was just what the dr ordered. I myself have a light bar on my cruiser ( only a china one but I still love it) and I am sure if I was there they would have knocked mine off too.
I don't like the chances of you seeing that light bar again but I certainly hope the scum that took it are caught up with in the near future. Not by the cops, mainly by some aggravated 4wd owners.
pisses me off when people work hard for their toys and buy things legit and then some low life just decides to help himself to other peoples belongings.

Mate that sucks! I had my car there this morning with a light bar on the front too but I was gone by 8:30. They are cunning little pricks doing it in the middle of the day at a busy ramp! I don't know how yours was fixed to your bull bar, but when I fixed mine on I lock tighted the bolts into it and then rounded off the hex head nuts, so they would of had a bloody hard time getting mine off without a ute full of power tools! I know that's not much help now but if you get another one it's something to look into. The harder you can make it for them the better!

other things missing and tampered with
one of my pots went missing on ffb , another one went
from havening two floats on it down to one but was still tied to the pot and rope with a neat bow line with two half hitches and I had tied both floats of with two double 8 knots about a meter apart, had no crays in the pot but may be someone was doing the righty and could see the pot had a problem of some sort (that's what I would like to think any way

Sorry to read about the theft, have you thought about putting up posters in all the nearby shops asking people have they noticed some one with a new set of lights in the area. I know it's a long shot but hey what have you got to loose, it's amazing how many of these thieving bastards so called mates will give them up for a low amount of dollars. Then you can go and see them and tell them why they shouldn't steal things, go and talk to all the hock shops in the area also.
Hope you get them back or your insurance covers them

Cheers guys, I reported to the cops and apparenty I wasnt the only one to get done yesterday. No cameras at Ocean Reef either so looks like $600 down the toilet. Ill stick to my usual launch at hillarys or mindarie now.
If I ever come across these sort of people they will end up duct taped to a pole with a sign abve them explaining to everyone what they spend there time doing. Help yourself boys
