Hard slog to try and catch our bag limit for the day. I caught all the Gurnard on the bottom meat while Moking was catching all the King Gorge on the paternoster rig with squid baits. It felt like there was only one rod over the side catching anything of quality so I had to swap to the paternoster to start catching. Ended up with a solid feed.

Well done...Ive heard the gurnard are good eating, they get flicked over the side at the gunnel when I'm out deep.
Ill need to keep a few next time give them a try.

Gurnard
Keep them Brock O and try them. I bet you won't be putting them back over the gunnels again. They are really good eating and they don't add to your bag limit.
They call them the poor mans crayfish as they actually have a similar flavour to the tasty crustaceans.
