Personally I perfer driving from WhiteHills south, or if on a low tide drive around limestone outcrops between Tims & WhiteHills. Never had much luck at Tims Thicket fishing wise not to say you can't/don't get good fish there, can get very busy as it's the first 4WD beach closest to Mandurah. You've got more options alond White Hills. For a quick day trip Tims is still not a bad spot. be Aware if you stay over night you get a lot more F---wits down there.
