Tinnie

I would like to get people's recommendations on a good tinnie brand for around 4-4.5m size. Doesn't seem to be much information around on which is best. I know of stacer savage quintrex stessl and bluefin but not sure which rate better for build and soft riding quality. Cheers

I've got a Savage Osprey 425 with a 40 Honda on it, love it, built like a little tank. If you want to see what it's like on the water give me a yell

Maybe a quintrex dory, they always seem to last quite a long time

460 dory

Picked up a 460 dory for my partners young bloke , weapon of a boat for its size . Enough room for 2 people to fish comfortably with gear etc and small enough for him to handle by himself . Only thing I'm not a fan of is the big tiller has the lack of trim adjustment so it's a compromise on handling sometimes but you can live with it, not dangerous but that slight tweak up or down makes a big difference. Will probably end up converting it to a side console.

Have a Quintrex 420 busta.  Yes they are mass produced, but it does really well for its size even in the open ocean. If you stick to the mainstream brands like quintrex, stacer, savage, they also hold really good re sale value. I have no doubt I'd get what I paid for my tinnie some 4 years or so after owning it.

I have a Quintrex 429 Top

I have a Quintrex 429 Top Ender, had for a few years now and an excellent boat - having the little extras in rails, gunwales, floor and a HD trailer just take your tinnie to a much more comfortable level, going to put on the market in the next month as I want a little project boat in plate ali to work on and will be sad to let her go as I really do love the versatility of a little 2nd boat.
