There aren't any haha!!! Left early this morning we were the only boat out there for an hour. Another boat came along and tried live herring aswell nothing. Nothing on the sounder either. Jigged for a good hour and a half, trying different jigs sizes/colours. Ended up with one 2kg on a 420gr jig and lost one other. Thought id give you guys the heads up for tomorrow. Goodluck to all:)

Eatin the arrow tomorrow,
Eatin the arrow tomorrow, should be nice :)
The sambos must be a bit hit and miss now then. We definately found a good sounding of them and jigging right through it all without a nudge, just not interested.

Was very hard work trying to
Was very hard work trying to get sambos today. Hooked up 4 during the day and only landed one, the other 3 lost to sharks. And this was after trying numerous different schools throughout the day.

That's fishing
Normal to expect slow days, but to be honest I'm more concerned that almost all the schools we got sambos on had sharks there waiting. Even if the sambos are firing there isn't any point in fishing if most of the fish you hook get sharked, it's not responsible fishing you are killing healthy breeding fish to feed sharks!

Yeh the sharks must be well
Yeh the sharks must be well and truely onto it by now. After months of a free feed they prob won't go far till they sambos move on.

We were out saturday with 2
We were out saturday with 2 boats trying to find the sambo schools around the containers. Managed to find 2 schools on the sounder had goes on each of them for no action, then just could not find them again. Only saw the 1 boat get any. Even the charter buggered off after about an hour!
Still, had a lot of fun with the tuna on light gear, got a 55cm red snapper and a blackarse for a nice meal :)

sambo's
hey fellas we went out saturday got 9 on board lost 3 it was hard work had to find the schools but managed to get a few the pics are on the brag board saturdays fishing they were not huge but a couple probably were around 15 to 20kg. also got my pb 16 kg yellow tail king fish check out the pics it weighed in at 16kg. we have found that unless you are right in the main school & the fish are showing good numbers on the sounder then there is no point even dropping the jigs down. we also went out wide to the 210 fad & out wide to 280mts for a bottom bounce but i need a 1kw transducer as my sounder will pick up the bottom ok but not the fish numbers
:(
It used to hurt when I got cock in my ass......now I can take three at once and not feel a thing!
