Took grandson out ( Adam)

Only went out for 20 mins . First ever trip .cast his rod out gave it to him ,instantly thought he was snagged, his first ever squid , I helped hold rod while he brought squid up. Classic was a trial run. He loved it.

Look at the smile in the last photo, the caption for this photo should be " I think I'm going to like this sport"

Lol. Trying to get foot model job. I really enjoyed having the young fella on boat. Hard work but fun. Even got the missus out. I hope she didn't like it to much, stuff my fishing up:)

Did you throw his goggles on and turf him over to see if he's got the Occy hunter in him like his Pop?

Catching octopus

Trigger traps or cray pots for catching them. Not allowed any pro gear. Pros use trigger traps and pvc with back end filled with concrete.? Could be me maybe iam reading it wrong . Bit confusing.

???????????????????

I read it twice and your right , confusing .

I did have a bit of a laugh but , it says your allowed 6 triggers each , plus your RBFL , plus floats and rope , I add it up to around

 $900 , traps around 260 each complete x the 3 your allowed = 6 pots .

Got to have them on floats , so loosing these babys will make a cray pot loss look like chicken feed.

The way i see it mate , is lets just say someone ( dont know who wink wink ) were to drop 10 or 20 concrete wieghted

pvc pipes in area half buryed with open ends out no floats , no I.D numbers , in other words just debris on ocean floor  , and then say someone

say us dived in that area and saw a occy in one and grabbed it , are we guilty of anything?

Fisheries could maybe say yes , because even though the pots are totally illegal , you are still guilty because your raiding someones pots ,

You then have a brain wave and own up to there ownership , at which case they drop the pot raiding charge and hit you with using illegal

fishing gear haha ,                In other words I just dont know.
