Trailer Parking in Denham
Submitted by mrwinta on Fri, 2013-04-05 10:23
I'm takinng the Trophy to Steep Point in May and as she won't get along the track I plan to sail from Denham and leave the trailer there while some of the other crew drive back round to steep.... has any of you guys found somewhere secure to park the trailer there??? I have emailed the caravan park but no reply yet, I thought there maybe even a local with a yard that would let me park it there for a carton or somthing along those lines????
Cheers
Winta....

You can also leave them
At the caravan park behind the cop shop it's only a 2 min walk to the ramp

Next to a cop shop sounds good.... I emaied them and left a voicemail but they still haven't got back to me- as with the Shark Bay Boat Storage place I will give them another bell when I get back from work if they haven't called me by then. I doon't suppose thy are booked up solid al the time anyway so no rush...

Soft Sand
Yeah I wouldn't even contemplate taking the big trailer along there, if I can leave it in Denham then there will be two 4x4's and only 1 with a 8x4 box trailer taking the track in. The empty ute can take the lead to help snatch the ute and trailer if need be, we will have all the basic recovery gear with us.
I assume the sand must be soft and rutted- possibly from cars not lowering their tyre pressure correctly...
Cheers for the heads up I will give them a call the day before we leave to check on the conditions too... Hope you had a good trip..

there are several places
there are several places that store caravans, trailors and boats for those that travel up all the time. get hold of a couple of the bussinesses up there by phone, if they cant help you out they should be able to point you in the right direction.
