Over 1 billion dollars has been spent on these boat aslyum seekers and that red headed woman is looking at taxing more on superannuation to fix the budget.
They should be given food, water, fuel and food then sent on their way. I'm all for refugees coming to this country through the front door, refugees that have waited up to 10+ years to qualify. ggggrrrrrr I'm mad as a bat in hell, in fact I'm spitting bloody chips.
Maybe if border patrol spent more time patrolling than making tv shows about it they might have been intersepted a bit further north! We had one of our supplie vessels borded by 40+ people 3 months ago. They came on at night an sank there boat as the last person got on. We wer 120nm from ashmore reef. The vessel had to turn an go to Christmas Island. One of the ( pore asylum seekers ) offered the deck crew $2000usd for a carton of smokes.. Never saw a thing in the papers or on the news!
Heard a distress call of a refo boat with 50-60 on board sinking on HF radio a week or so back and reported it to Water Police, was told that it was in AMSA's hands and to record it in the log.
Never heard any more of it in the news media so could have been another of those ones where as soon as a boat comes near their boat mysteriously starts taking on water.
