Trailer replacement
Submitted by Faulkner Family on Mon, 2021-09-13 18:04
I know many on here have gone down this road already replacing the trailer under their pride and joy.
With so many to choose from either good or bad . I am looking at replacing the rust bucket under the dominator . Could someone recommend a good one for the job preferably down mandurah way. The tub is 18ft 6" and currently sitting on one rated to 2 tonne

Ace & Duratow
I did a lot of research on this subject for my 2400 build...
Both Tezza's Trailers and Duratow build a solid and good value steel "channel" trailer down your way. I think both would stand up for a long time. Some of the standard Tezza components are entry level but everything is upgradable.
Due to the weight limitations of the 2400, i went with Ace in Wangara. They allowed me to customise it fully and have actually built me a pretty smick 3.5ton trailer for not much more than 10year old second hand ones are asking. They are useless on the phone, and the website is a bit average, but i would suggest going a speaking with Guy or Phil and see what they can do for you.

Shame that tezzas has closed
Shame that tezzas has closed down. He's build good value trailers for years.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

I wasn't aware... I knew he stopped taking orders at the start of the year but that was put down to workload/order box and steel supply issues

Dunbier
I have a Dunbier super roller steel trailer. I added some keel supports and a boat latch catch. It is honestly awesome and makes boating a pleasure i never need a hand to launch and retrive and the design means the trailer needs very little draw to launch or retrive. The trailer is now 4 years old i religously hose it after every use and hit it with a inox twice a year and it is still as good the day i brought it.
