Hope not lol. You dont need warning of a reversing boat tralier, its pretty obvious, cant miss jackknifing and constant steering inputs from most reversers these days lol
Thanks Rob H! Did you take it over the pits? I've never licensed a trailer before and I have an imported trailer that needs to get WA licensed. believe there's companies that are approved by DPI to issue necessary approvals?
Thanks guys! The trailer & boat is 2,400kg's and I have mechanical brakes. Tandem trailer, discs all round with cable break-away. I trust this will be okay?
Okay, so I took my trailer over the pits today with mechanical break-away brakes and it has been passed with 3T max capacity. No reverse lights needed, just some mud flaps on the mud guards and I was good to go. The mechanical break-away brakes is a German system manufactured by Knott Germany. No electrics needed.

I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

Just wondering because I rewired my trailer today with a standard 7 pin plug and there's a connection for reverse lights?

On Kempys advice (thanks!) I used the reverse pin on the large 7 pin round as the EOH hotwire. Still got to sort the brake controller though.

No need for reverse lights on
No need for reverse lights on trailers. The reverse pin is normally used for a hot wire if needed.
