I would like to know if anyone gets a decent picture when they are travelling at more than that speed??? I only have a cheap furuno so the picture isn't great at speed or depth. Upgrading later this year to a smiko simrad nss7. Not sure what to expect at speed???

looks a little high and slightly tilted down, as towards the bow of boat not level, just my opinion, my lowrance hds 8 gen2 is awesome at speed

I've got the tm260, and can get clear pic doing 30knotts. (Not that it's useful doing 30knotts looking for structure/fish)
hard to to tell from the pic, but it does look a tad to high

I loose my screen at about the same speed maybe even a bit slower (huminbird 788dhci) I have played about with the angles of the transducer but still the same

High
As suggested, looks a little high.
I have 2 sounders, lowrances, 1 is a 5x elite and the other gen2 hds 5 combo. I was having trouble with reading over 10 knots but with some tweaking I have both getting a clear picture at my top speed of 28knots. I had to move them closer to the motor and raise one. It was an inch under the hull. F*(king headache at first but I am glad I persisted.

High
Correct me if I am wrong the trannys are better off being a little low in the water rather than high to my knowledge the only downside to them being low is a possible rooster tail at the back of the boat.
Try dropping it a bit and levelling it out.
My spots are so secret even the fish don't know about them !

Run a straight edge
Along your hull to the front of tranny - should be at least 1cm below hull level. You will rooster tail on a plate hull if you want to read at speed. My 270w reads up to 35knots but does spray

doesnt look high to me
possible to close to motor .I always have my 2 a good distance from motor.i always line my pads inbetween ribs underneath my hull.that way you get no bubbles ect interfering with sounder pad unsure.no expert .good luck

Maybe too close to the prop
Maybe too close to the prop wash as johnny mentioned. I have a TM 260 and went off airmars site when installing I thought mine may of been too close to the prop but works fine at speed. Goodluck

Go Lower!I only have P66 600W
Go Lower!
I only have P66 600W and have it as low as it can go and get a clear reading to 30knots. It was originally mounted outside of the trim tab and I was getting an ordinary reading there so i moved it inside of the tab which is probably a bit too close to the prop according to Airmars specs but i couldnt be happier with the reading.
