Conditions are good for the beach tonight the salted mulies are firm and I got me some whiting at nor
th beach jetty this afternoon

nth current
The northerly current was so strong I could not get a bait to stay put.I am going to go surf the web for how to read this as it is the second time this has happened

Use heavy grapnel sinkers. The current makes fishing hard and when I used to fish that stretch often I got so desperate I even tried throwing my rig in attached to a brick but that didnt even hold.
Grapnels are the only way to go

Not many but the fish that are there are better quality. Tailor over 60cm and soapies. Like I've said before you need to find holes where the current is slightly less. It probably won't be stopped completely but if its slower in any places that's likely where the fish will sit.

Island
I walked north closer to the Island and the flow was more manageble.I am assuming the tide going out was not helping.I will try times with less movement.I might try the nth beach jetty at night
just do it.
