Trilogy

A bit out of left field, but then again they were released over consecutive Boxing days....
I just finished watching the 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy again, best trilogy of movies I've ever seen (with the original Star Wars a very close second).
Looks like meats back on the menu boys!

Agreed
Agreed John - always been a HUGE fan of LOTR - even subscribed to the DeAgostini RPG and models - I painted and set up about 150, only about 800 to finish
Also saw LOTR - the animated version - yeah - half way through sucked - and that, of course was well before CGI, Lucas and co.
That JRR Tolkeins 'Elphinish' was accepted as a true language is amazing.
A first class trology, difficult and totally expansive material covered by a master director.
I'll always be a smeagol and hold those dvds preshiiiiiiiiissssssssssssssssssh
Be great if they did The Hobbit as well!

The Hobbit movies
I read somewhere that Peter Jackson is directing 2 Hobbit movies, the first covers the novel, and the second spans the time between then and the Fellowship novel.

Great
I hope that proves to be true Abandon - I do know when they dismantles the sets in NZ, that (inevitable) question was put to Weir and he said (at that stage) he had no plans, so I hope he changed his mind.
I think that there would be just a little interest in 'subsequent precedents' (prequals).
