The trip of a lifetime
Well it's time to gloat. Lamby and I (with 4 other mates) have the ultimate fishing adventure planned for next year. We had our first meeting to discuss logistics on Friday afternoon and we have nutted out a rough itinery. We are leaving Perth with first stop Turtle Dove Shoals then on to the Abroholos for 3 or 4 days. Next stop Dirk Hartog Island/steep point for a couple days before we head to Ningaloo for a bit of whale shark action and some pelagic chasing /diving and soaking up the sun. Next stop 4 days at Monte's. Been there 3 times cant wait for number 4. From here we need to go to refuel in headland then off to Rowley Shoals. Think it was 4 days out there before steaming back to Broome and then a 4 day run through the Kimberley Gorges and hopefully catch my first Barra. Final stop in Broome then fly back to Perth.
Diving, fishing and having a good time with a bunch of mates all along the way. 60ft boat, towing our 5.4m runabout as a tender for the stops and fishing the WA coast from perth to Broome. What an adventure. 22 days at sea. Cant wait.
Is there anything along the way that is a must see or do?

Sounds like an awesome trip. Your going to wish you had twice the available time frame though.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

It's going to go off like a frog in a sock!
Paul its a mate of Tim & mine that owns the Darling Isabelle that has just had a nice little refurb completed. Basically we have a tight knit group of mates that do trips to Monties and together we cover the skipper, fuel costs etc which is madness when you look at the price of what that charter would cost. Bloody fortunate to have such a good mate that allows this to happen, as mentioned before many times the charter is made by the people on it and we always have a ball with some cracking banter. It's worth it to see Tiimbo in comedic action after a couple of frothies, we try force feed him ales on waking!
The tub will come back down as a return leg is in planned (will drop u a PM Steve)

Awesome
Sound like a really magic trip. To do all the states top spots in one trip is to dream for and then to do the Kimberleys is the icing on the cake.
Are you sure you don't need an experienced skipper who has travelled through most of the spots as a back up?

Hahaha all jokes aside if your serious drop either me or Tim a pm we certainly require a back up the other guy has to get clearance from the minister of finances and last time we sent him home with a smile too big.
