Great job!
That is very big for a local SBT! Skirt or diver?
Edit: Having a look at that longish pec fin, and seeing how it's much larger than the average SBT in this neck of the woods, I'm guessing you may have scored a bigeye!

It was caught on a diver I also was thinking big eye but didn't think we would get them in these neck of the woods I'm absolutely hopeless at identifying tuna.

Bigeye are more widespread
Bigeye are more widespread than SBT though there seemed to be pockets of smaller SBT on the shelf around Jurien sometimes.
Bigeye all round the south coast and up to Exmouth.
Yellowfin as far as Cape Leeuwin though I know a few have been caught in King George Sound
BIG SBT (100-200kg) migrate around the west coast wide offshore up to the Java Sea but the only place we caught them close in was along that strip of the shelf from Rankin Bank to Exmouth then they seem to head way stay out, 100 miles plus.
Thats just where we have caught and not caught them, not sure what the books say.

The older you get the more you realize that no one has a f++king clue what they're doing.
Everyone's just winging it.

That is a YFT for sure
Pec fin as above, yellow finlets and fairly short distance from end dorsal fin to tail compared to a longtail. Big eyes have larger eyes and looks almost odd because of the size eye. SBT are more stocky and even though the finlets can be yellow, its not as bright. Also tail more sickled.
SBT
YFT
bigeye
long tail
Sure this is a YFT.

???
Check these out. They are bigeyes. You can see some yellow colouring in the finlets and dorsal and the eyes don't look too big.

The eternal Tuna ID debate
I still think YFT, but without a living flapping fish and from photos only it is tricky. Especially YFT and longtails for some reason.

You have got me thinking now ......
perhaps it is a YFT. Doesn't look too dissimilar to the one below. Too hard!!!!

Im never going to say 100% with Tuna ID
The one above is easier because it shows more features!
The question is what is it above???
LOL - now Im sooo confused~!

Na different shirts, similar though. I have 3 fishin' shirts, all floral like patterns and all $5.00 specials from K-Mart. I'm not proud. :-)

Pec fins are definitely too
Pec fins are definitely too long for a bluefin

Stripe pattern
I caught a smaller model last week off lano, had the same stripes/dots along the belly my educated guess would be Yellow fin.
