Two Virgins Converted
Shabba and myself were invited down by Ryan TT for an evening of Marron hunting on Tuesday. We both had never hunted Marron before, so anticipation was high.
We headed off mid arvo with our first stop being the Pinjarra Bakery. The beef chilli pies were awesome.
An hour later we arrived at our destination and removed our blind folds. Hmmm, nice water.
We conducted the traditional walk with cold beer in hand, to 'stake' our territory and got the low down on proceedings from Ryan.
A few more quiet ales, a dip in the water and finally the sunset.
We set our pellets and waited not too long before our first look. Ryan was up first to show the way and it wasn’t long before the first marron was snared, measured and bagged. We basically took turns (team effort) and snared another 7 for the night before calling stumps. An average night apparently, but it was an awesome way to spend an evening.
Many thanks again Ryan for sharing your ways, oh and Marron…..good thinking mate. Sharmane says, yeah go again - they were very tasty!

Nice work Boys. I was only thinking about the marroning that I would be missing this year. It certainly is a top experience and no doubt as I have you can learn a lot from Ryan about the best ways to catch the sneaky little buggas. Nice pics Pete.
