Thinking of instaling a cb in the ute but there are lots of units available any thing out there better than the rest or are they all much the same.

All our work Trucks,
All our work Trucks, Cruisers, and Hilux's all use GME for UHF CB (All our VHF are Tait WAERN).
They seem to have a better warrenty service the fact they are based in Australia, so if one was to bugger up they replace it quickly, not that any have buggered up that i have seen yet. And these are in Vehicles that get worked harder than any mine or recreational 4wd would.
We use the GME TX3540, but i personnaly am looking at fitting a TX3500. Do find the ones with the remote handsets have a tendancy for the little screen to bugger up(doesnt light up).
The TX3100 and TX3350(Super Compcat ones) i reckon the speaker is too small and when on the hwy(in my mates car) find it hard to hear anything over it.
