Team Daiwa Tierra 3500

My young fella is keen as mustard to go fishing and I am looking at a light set up for him for herring/ whiting/ crabs etc.

Has anybody out there used these reels and whats your opinion on them

Great real snapper.

Have retired mine from active service used to be my go to light tackle real on the boat.

Has caught everything from Sambo’s to Dhufish.

Had the combo rod and real package.

I have a couple of 3000's. Have landed amberjack up to 10kg and sambos up to 15 kg. That being said, the one that has caught the most fish is now prett stuffed now but the Tierra will easily handle fish the sizeof snapper and below. Good little reel with an excellent drag. Drag better than comparable priced Shimanos. the gearbox's probably a bit weaker.
