Unbelievable

Here we were 14nm out from mandurah enjoying the day then it wasn't bad enough these guys came in on our drift but they also pulled up about 20 mtrs behind us and dropped their lines.
I understand that others may have the same spots marked on their sounder but to do this just pissed me off. Where is the courtesy with other boats out there

Buy a manure laucher?
Yep thats too close , plain and simple ,,,, Im a pretty patience bloke and avoid most conflicts but even I saw red last year when
2 boats ( looked togeather) stopped and started drifting a easy sinker throw away from us in a otherwise empty ocean ( a weekday)
Theres no need for it ( we were not at some secret lump ) it was just a general drift along the front of the 5 fath on a light southerly wind.
Its a reflection on there stupidity or lack of respect for others.
I kept calm , we decided to head out , so I quietly pulled in drift bag , started motor , turned and motored past them 5 metres away ( they were 15m away to start with )
hitting them with my wake as I looked serenly out to the west , and off to greener pastures ( we got a dhu and baldie) on a otherwise 0 fish solunar day ( karma ?)

Jumping the cue at the ramp
Jumping the cue at the ramp and dropping in on a spot are the 2 biggest no no's when boating that's for sure.

So how do you police that
So how do you police that without a limit? Basically if you have an accident they need to prove the main cause was alcohol. And then there is no law that obliges a rec skipper to agree to a breath test....

Too close if it isn't
Too close if it isn't someone you know or invited over. Very rude and inconsiderate, what if you hook a decent fish and it heads in their direction? ( See U Next Tuesday's as far as I'm concerned) If you can cast over to them or hear them fart it's too close.

Not uncommon
This is not uncommon.
Not so long ago I had a boat come right near us while drifting. As they were in casting distance I yelled out to them they better move because Im chasing tuna and they are in my casting distance. Didn't move so tangled our lines about 4 times to piss them off by casting over to them, I was using my cheap bait rod so no skin off my nose haha upset them after a few words and they moved on!
I go boating not fishing

Mindarie Charters
We were fishing a lump off Mindarie during the demersal closure. Picking up Tailor, Skippy and the like. Mindarie Charters obviously have the same lump and dropped no more than 20 metres from me. I didn't move and we ended up closer than that together. Skipper got p$%ssed off and roared off at full throttle past me throwing a huge wake. I laughed, but vowed to tell everyone what a flog this guy is.
