went for a surf dismorning at leighton and had two unexpected visitors pop in for a look. a massive humpback and her calf. the calf was no more than 7m but the mum was massive, came within 30m of the shore and was an awsome sight to be surfing with them. originally i thought ohh crap its gonna get beached but a whole croud of guys surounded the beach side of it and after a couple of minutes they swam off. just wished i had my cammera

Milsey - Leighton
That would have been a great sight - but a bit unnerving at first ey? Ah Leighton - spent many years surfing there.

That would have been fantastic, hubbie out with friend just before drop off, Leeman and water stirred, called mate over and said look at this, a massive big whale shark slowly swam passed about two feet under water, his boat 18' and made him feel so humble that beauty swam idly passed, yea fellas no camera. I got yelled at because I was surposed to put camera in boat He's not allowed to tell me when he's out wide if he sees a whale, as you know spewie lewie can't go that far and I get really peeved off when he tells the whales where having a ball out there.....bugger
