Upgraded the tinny to this!!

Well it's been a great 10 years with my 4.45m Stessco Tinny. Plenty of nice fish have come over the side, and she has yet to let me down. But with the kids getting older, and me wanting to get out a bit wider. It was time to start considering what we needed. The wife has been bounced around up the front of the tinny long enough, so was looking for fibreglass in the 5.5m to 7m range under 50k.. This was the result!!

A

Trophy 2052 Walkaround, with the 120hp Cummins Diesel. Stoked!!

Picked it up on Friday, took it for a run on Sunday arvo, the kids loved the fact it had a steering wheel and a cabin. Took it out from Mandurah then back in thru Sticks just getting the feel of her. Tied up and had dinner at Circerellos. Very happy family

The

plan was to have Monday off and take my son, brother in law and his son, to blood the decks. We only went to the FFB but the first fish over the side was this little dhuey, to my brother in law. Hopefully onwards and upwards from here! Ended up with a feed of skippy.

Cheers

Chris

Yeah put 100l in on monday and the fuel gauge didn't move a great deal.

Looking forward to a few trips to the fads next year. Also upgrade the sounder and tranny.

I know I'm jealous, great that the whole family can enjoy. What sort of cruising speed you get/revs?

Hey Paully, Not a great deal

Wed, 2013-06-05 17:38

 Hey Paully,

Not a great deal of time on the water yet, but 19 knots felt like a good cruise speed and that was sitting on around 3200 rpms

Cheers

Chris.

 Yeah gonna keep the tinny

Sun, 2013-06-23 12:34

Yeah gonna keep the tinny Peter. It doesn't owe me anything and we'll still be doing trips upto Peron Nat. Park Shark Bay & Ningaloo Station which it is great for. Also like to put the pots in for the whites before Chrissie so it still has its place. Plus as you said great boat for the young fella to cut his teeth on as he gets older.

Cheers

Chris.
