Hey all, anybody had much luck with vexed jigs? I know there copys, but for the price they dont look to bad...

Yep they work. Caught cobia in shark bay on them and lost 2 to unstoppables a couple weekends ago. Tackle HQ just got the new colour range in so all the old colours are now $10 per jig.

shark bay is not the mecca!!!!!!!! haha there are plenty other places better the shark bay! though I wouldn't knock a trip back there

All manors of species hit them, Cannot get any better for the price :) Somes the site sponsors sell them for $10 I believe, worth every cent

Sharks love em
Lost a few to some sharks while trying night jigging the other day. Thought we'd found something awesome until we got one to the boat. Secret Wahoo technique or such... There were a few barracuda hanging around....

i love them as well, so do the Rankin cod and Saddle Tails, i've lost many as well to unstoppables, mackies and sharks. No need to spend the cash on the super expensive jigs.

Oceanside have vexed....seen Vexed catch dhues and small black bum....though I have never had success with them.
Up north there is no need for expensive jigs, due to getting smoked and the cost of loosing the jigs.
Though I did experiment a little in the last few days of exxy, using lambels compared to cheep jigs or vexs/pirates...and after loosing two lambels in consecutive drops it just doesn't make it financially viable when the cheepies work just as well up there, though down south expensive jigs and yielded my catch rate so much more!

been hit a couple of times by unstoppables but luckily straigtened the hooks....

100g for demersals(vexed) 80-90g(haoli half pitch, slow blatt) suits most depths from 30-60m , but we hold station on spots with the motor so there is no drift .

Had the hooks straighten twice on 2 separate jigs so not to impressed with em!
