Sure it wasn't a wreck?

Sun, 2009-12-13 20:09

There were plenty of straight lines there and at teh end of the vid it looks like there are two dark squares on the side of the reef/wreck.

Thanks for sharing your film

Thanks for sharing your film of diving.  We can't dive so it is good to get an idea of what diving is like.  Loved all the fish and the sounds that they make on the reef.

Mindarie

Sun, 2009-12-13 19:34

cool video brings back memories:), some great ground off mindarie, i've always found the country off mindarie completely different than off hillarys and it amazes me they are only a few miles apart. i did most of my diving off mindarie wen i first started much more fun and colourful diving, loved the amount of caves and swimthrus and not so much kelp

Maybe we found a new wreck Andy, didn't notice anything to make me think it would be a wreck,it was wright on the north end of the reef that runs of seal rocks.

Paul and Jesse great vid and it brings back memories... But at my age and fitness all I would be capable of now is a floater on the top with snorkel gear.
Thanks for bringing back memories of a world of it's own down there.
Cheers,
David

Paul they call it

Mon, 2009-12-14 10:33

Paul they call it Honeycombs. That spot is great and the big triangular cave is unmistakable. We would always dive it when a bunch of novices with the dive shop had been. Funniest thing ever cause they put everything down and just swim away. One day my mates all laughed as they saw me swimming with a brand new spear gun. Mostly cause i never spear. That one we did actually drop of at the shop as we thought that was a bit of a expensive lesson for someoneSmile Did get a carton for my trouble though..
