I have searched the net vaguely and no real info on how to use them. I was going to try cool a carton with it to see how well it worked but I have no idea how it works
First look I took I thought it was a fridge but looking more closely I think it is an old ice chest.
These were common around up until the very early 50s when fridges were starting to be cheap enough for all household to have one. Once a week a bloke would come round with blocks of ice to place in cabinet with the full blocks going in the bottom section and the smaller in the top along with your food.
Giving my age away but I can vaguely remember the bloke delivering ice around Northam with his horse and cart, before I was old enough to start school in the early fifties.
Stick an ad in , some collector may want it , after all , ads on the net are free and only cost is your time, if no response a storage cupboard it is

In there day they were a good fridge but compared to what is available now not in the race.
Collectors may be interested so would be wise to advertise it
