wagoe chalets

Can anyone tell us about the Wagoe Chalets. We want to head north in August for a week.
I've read varying reports. If it was a blokes trip it wouldn't matter but taking the mrs so can be basic but needs to be clean.

Wagoe Chalets

Very nice facilities, clean and tidy, not lavish but more than ok for the wife and kids, there are quad bike tours from there and it is close to Kalbarri. Very friendly owner/operators. You will have a great time just don't expect 5 star facilities.

There's no ramp there and I don't know if you can launch off the beach - doubt it. You can launch off the beach at Lucky Bay to the south but its a bit of a hike otherwise head to Kalbarri.

went in April...  Chalet was presented clean and tidy. Contrary to what I heard, weren't any mice at all. Be perfect for the family to use it for meals and sleeping. Aslong as you aren't expecting any star rating of any sort. I believe they receive a helping hand from back packers who stay at the farm.

Just came back, what a place!

Had an amazing time. Camp sites, toilets and showers were pretty basic but thats all that we were after. Can get very windy so make sure everything is secure otherwise it will blow away. The wind also makes it very cold so bring plenty of warm clothes. Beach is quite soft, we moevd around easily at about 14 PSI. About 40 minutes along the beach to Lucky Bay which is protected and easy to fish but the species you catch are therefore limited.

You will need reef shoes to negotiate the reefs along the beach. Quite snaggy so you will go through some tackle. We didn't spend too much time fishing but conditions are best when the wind blows off the land and the swell is small.

They give you a key when you check-in which unlocks the fence to get to the beach from the chalets so don't lose it! Hope you catch a few more fish than we did!

Would definetly stay there again, absolutely loved it!

Thanks for the feed back Bruce and sorry for the delay in getting back to you. We're still hoping to get there in August, weather permitting.
