Be prepared to pay for a stay at Wagoe
You can't get in there unless you book in and stay overnight.
As for Kalbarri, just go there and do the research ( as in talk to the locals and drive around). Always plenty on offer in any conditions.

Lucky bay, chinamans,
Lucky bay, chinamans, Wittecarra creek, anywhere north of the river if you can get across. There's so much fishy looking water up there just explore. If chasing mulloway fresh mullet has had the best results for me.

Was in Kalbarri last
Was in Kalbarri last weekend. Weed wasnt a issue but the wind was. Had to tuck myself in behind the rocks at chinamens baitcasting gardies and mulies into the wash. largest tailor I got was around 43cm. I only have, success at the change of light. Otherwise if conditions permitted normally id baitcast a gardie at blue holes north of car park or pull up wherever there was a likely gutter or hole at wittecarra creek.
You can apparantly make arrangements to get the kayak or boat hire company to get you across the murchison. I believe some jumbos have been taken off oysters and good mulloway off the beaches north. Some locals have boats that take their ATV across the river. Would like to have done this myself but didnt have permission from wifey and kids to duck away too long.
