western red scorpionfish
with 12 venemous dorsal spines, supposed to be good eating if you can get past the spines. It'd want to be bigger than that one for me to have a go.

They have 12 spines that are poisonous you don't want to be spiked trust me !!!!!
what i do is slice a fillet off each side skin the fillets and then boil them and its probably one of the best fish you will ever eat
just make sure you wear a mesh glove whilest handling them and dont mix them with your other catch, litterly 1 touch of the spike and the pain will wana make you
cut your finger off and the pain never leaves i know this as my mate got spiked 2 years ago and it still is a soft spot on his finger

Nice catch
Nice feed there, especially in a tinny and battling against unfavourable weather conditions.
Might have passed on the red spikey fish, though...looks nasty. Years ago I saw my brother-in-law get spiked in the back of the hand by a similar sort of fish and he was in a lot of pain for quite a while.

Definitely keen to try one, just not keen to fillet it!
