You must of been fishing all
You must of been fishing all the wrong places haha.
Na I've been there when it's like that and youre better off changing your plan of attack and hitting up kalbarri or Hutt river.
It sucks planning a trip and getting there only to have the weather not play ball.

we tried the lot at wagoe the
we tried the lot at wagoe the only place tht was producing a little was at the lagoon but it was taken everyday and we didnt want to intrude to much tried in the river but because i was flooded real bad was preety much unfishable the mouth got closed.
i was talking to a few blokes that were there before us and they said it was completel dead everywhere and it was to calm they had flat days everyday but i think the heat of the water and not enough oxygen flowing caused the fish to head out deep.

To be fair tho we did see
To be fair tho we did see plenty of macks n tuna busting up offshore in the mornings, but reaching them with a howling 30 knot southerly was impossible. If we'd got just a single morn of easterly I think it would have been a different story...
Maybe next time huh!

you poofs didnt go down to lucky bay hey even with the winds you had if you were reel fishermen you would have walked out on the reef and got a balloon out hahahaa

You know Brad and I both
You know Brad and I both looked at that there and thought the same thing, think Brad wanted to spin it and I wanted to balloon it...but the driver took us somewhere else where Brad had lost a big noah the night before. Next time.
Who the hell let you on here grotguts? There goes the neighbourhood...
Told ya your spots wouldn't get flogged!

Well the swell wasn't
Well the swell wasn't helping us much either grot, making that reef a little hairy. I don't anything we could have done would of helped. No one down there was catching much.

Tried both a few times
Tried both a few times scere...the howling southerlys and total shut down of fish drained our hopes pretty quick. Even the locals and experienced pilgrims at the chalets said it was the worst they'd seen it, fishwise. No one was catching anything anywhere...oh, I did see a single shovelie caught! (And they kept it out of desperation!)
Was a lot of weed along the whole stretch, from Gregory to the cliffs, replaced on the north side of the cliffs by murky milky water till the brown of the mouth. Lucky Bay on the inside also had fair amounts of weed but at least we could get a line in the drink there wind-wise. Quite a lot of baitfish and mullet in there but just nothing going them. Berleyed up to buggery there one night for a single missed fish that was too big to handle, thoughts were of a big tiger.
Was told a couple mornings of easterlys should sort the weed out and the almanac and weather predictions are promising much better conditions from now on...think we just hit it at the wrong time to be honest. As a rule once I leave the fishing goes off, so you should be in luck...

Cheers mannablue
We can only hope so otherwise might have to keep moving further north i reckon.
Fished hutt river at the begnning of the year and had 9 massive runs in the space of 3 hours.
Plenty of those bad boys cruising around there...we were unable to land any that night though.
