Peppy/Wonnerup Beaches
You may get a bit of a shock when you attempt to drive sth from peppy grove as the local farmer has fenced it off just like Forrest Bch.
I'll be there come the cold nights.Buggerum

Fishermen need to come to the realisation that our fishing rights are being eroded not only on the beaches but on jetties like with the Busselton Jetty and also out in the ocean as well with the proposed Marine Parks and these greenie groups are quite happy to use the political path to get their minority views accepted by Governments without any sound scientific evidence to support their arguments but rely entirely on what is happening in other parts of the world as a reference and not to any localised situations. It is time for fishermen to use their numbers to send a clear message to Governments that if decisions are made that erode our rights without any science to back up that decision we will vote against them at any upcoming elections. We have the numbers to change Governments if we can get our act together and if you've got the time to read this you've got the time to phone any sitting members of Parliament and let them know of your intentions. You will only have to do it the once and all of a sudden fishermens views will get a whole lot of cred. Now I realise this is a bit heavy for this type of forum but I'm sick and tired of being identified as a whinging fishermen and I'm quite prepared to take the next step as long as there is support in the fishing community.Be prepared that greenie groups will try and sabotage this view and you will no doubt identify these people straight away but if you're a fishermen you owe it to your self and any future generations who choose to go fishing to sought things out once and for all. Lethargy will not achieve anything. Get active and fight for your rights.

Whats it like off the beach
Whats it like off the beach where the inlet comes out.
You acces it from the road heading towards wonnerup, then drive right on the beach for about 1 km.

Almost landed a sambo on
Almost landed a sambo on a live herring early morning last time I went down there last June, bricked me on the reef thats close in down 2kms left or so from the town right on peppi grove beach. Mates got sharks that night. Good luck mate, that's all I've got.
The love of a screaming drag is universal to all fisherman.

Big George, you gotta post
Big George, you gotta post that opinion in a fresh post so it will get noticed. And make the topic appealing!

Jump Up & Down Then if you love fishing this area
That's right cause if you don't, these are gonna become private beaches for a select few. Its time Government got involved here for the better of the people of the State - Land owners have decided to close beaches that are supposedly part of their property titles cos they re concerned of litigation from someone who may be injured whilst behaving foolishly on these beaches.
Firstly it needs to be determined how far the titled travels to the water line. It can't be into the water - so it should end at the high tide mark as this portion of land below the high tide mark is constantly being eroded and replaced by moving sand - therby identifying its ownership is legitmately difficult. I was there on Sunday nite and these damn fences extend well below the high tide mark - totally screwing up beach access for the sensible person who wants a spot of quiet fishing with his family or mates.
Wer'e in the midst of copping a battering in the South West at the moment. Can't access the end of the Busso jetty, can't access either inner or outer harbours of Bunbury. Can't access Forrest Beach, Peppi Grove beach South and soon to be Peppi Grove beach North- anyone would think we're undertaking illegal activity as opposed to good wholesome family building experiences - sharing the night sky with your kids is something a few of these people should try!
Grrrrr!!!!!!

I have to agree, it's about
I have to agree, it's about time we as fisherpersons were made aware of OUR rights to drive on a beach, in a sane manner, and not be harrassed by 'farmers' who can't use the beach for 'farming' anyway, they just want a private bit of beach in my opinion
I thought land from the ocean, up to high water mark, was 'Crown Land' or some such similar term, definately not privately owned.
Anyone in the 'legal profession' out there ??
