I feel the hate welling inside you, it gives you focus!
Fly fishing is way more thrilling than any other form of fishing I've done. Catching a +3kg salmon on fly (6wt) beats catching one on popper/lure/plastic any day of the week.

I'm just doing freshwater fly, sticking with poppers n lures for saltwater for sure!
Looking spending around the $100 as i won't do it bugger all..

I reckon you may struggle with your budget, but you can get a new outfit, complete with line and leader for $170.
Then you have to buy flies, waders, a natty vest etc etc.

Mate,
Got all the waders etc etc...just need a combo with line (pref intermediate sinking line), don't mind stretching the budget.
We got rid of all the fly gear at work long time ago...what store stocks fly gear these days?
