Getting a 5.6 centre console made just tied up between what outboard to get in the 150 class Yamaha, Mercury or Suzuki? I'm leaning towards a Suzuki at the moment. ???

Can't go wrong with either of those three...
The new merc four stroke 150s are getting rave reviews in the US. Do a search on The Hull Truth. Plenty of info.

I agree, not had a Merc for
I agree, not had a Merc for 20 yrs but the 150 looks very good,
The Yam/Suz also, nothing in it except price, service and colour
Give a man a mask, and he'll show you his true face...
The older you get the more you realize that no one has a f++king clue what they're doing.
Everyone's just winging it.

Suzuki 150, Offset
Suzuki 150,
Offset driveshaft
Fly by wire
Swings a bigger prop
Bigger displacement then Yamaha
Holds more oil then Yamaha
Suzi has a timing chain that never need replacing
Suzuki parts are heaps cheeper.

Is the jury still out on
Is the jury still out on this? Im leaning towards the Merc, based on KISS principle and apparently more torque where you want it.

My brother runs a 150 merc 4
My brother runs a 150 merc 4 stroke and is really happy.
Mercury has done well this motor, read a few reviews and there are alot of happy people.
I would choose Merc, Suzi, Yam in that order
