Waterproof video camera

 Hey guys,

Looking at getting a video camera to record my fishing adventures and had a quick look around and theres so many to choose from. Had a search and there is a bit of info there but nothing too recent and with new stuff comin out all the time I'm looking for up to date info. Would preferrably like it to be waterproof. Heard millions of great reviews of GoPro's, but wondering if there are any other good quality cameras out there for similar or less price.

Cheers

Hutch

Unless you are going to professionally edit, get one of the aftermarket brands over a Gopro.

I have had two, and had problems with both. My current one won't charge or turn on.

Having seen the quality of the footage from the $199 ones from one of the auto stores, I would buy that.

Looks nice. Good specs and a great price tag. Does it last a full day out on the water?

bite the bullet and go the gopro. there is a reason (besides advertising lol ) that they are the industry standard and used on all the ....reality shows. (survivor etc)
have had one for a while now ....very easy to use. compact robust and there are a million different adaptions for them on ebay. (this is the best things about them.) floaty back doors, brackets for connecting to the boat rocket launchers, helmet mounts etc. etc. etc. the list is endless.
