Wedge/Grey sanctuary zones

Last time I fished up this way (couple of years ago) there were some protected area's marked on signs.  Apparantkly these have been vandilised and I cant seem to find any thing on the fisheries website about this area or a map of the zones.

Anyone got any info

cheers

Was worthwhile effort anyway. I have downloaded and printed the zone information as I would like to fish up that way also. Basically it looks like land based fishing is out on Wedge Island only and south of the road entrance to Grey. That still leaves plenty of options.

Cheers,

Yeah the sanctuary zone to the north of wedge roughly 4k's north is where that other one starts and the beach breaks up with a lot more reef and fishy locations.  Its a real shame LB fishing isnt still allowed through this bit as I cant imagine it having that much effect considering its not a local spot for many and the wind tends to make it pretty hard to fish through the coming months.  I was in the area a few years ago and had to pull the DEC guys 4wd out as he bogged it.  I then asked him if I could fish a particular spot as it wasnt too clear to me on the map and he didnt know either which made me wonder if they even check/know the zone.

Not sure how long wedge has been a sanctuary but I have never seen anyone LB fishing wedge as you would usually require a boat to get across.
